Кассира АЗС в Актобе приговорили к 7,5 годам за растрату с ущербом в 258 млн тенге

Court No. 2 of the city of Aktobe has found former cashier-operator Zulkhumor Muratshina of LLP «AZS Leader» guilty of the misappropriation or embezzlement of entrusted property belonging to another person on an especially large scale. The court sentenced her to 7.5 years of imprisonment.

HOW THE DAMAGE AROSE

According to Hronika.kz, Zulkhumor Muratshina worked as a cashier-operator at Petrol Station No. 5 in the village of Yasnoye. From April 2024 to January 2025, according to the prosecution's version, she prepared reports with distorted data on QR payments. As a result, the same amount was reflected twice in the accounting records, although in fact the money was received into the till only once.

In addition, part of the payments for diesel fuel, as established by the investigation and the court, was transferred to Muratshina's personal account and the account of her grandmother, who, according to the case materials, was unaware of what was happening.

WHAT AMOUNTS WERE INVOLVED IN THE CASE

Over the specified period, more than 676 thousand litres of fuel and lubricants passed through the scheme described in the verdict. The amount of funds from QR payments that were not deposited into the till amounted to 157.7 million tenge.

The total damage caused to LLP «AZS Leader» was determined by the court to be 258,722,604 tenge.

WHAT MURATSHINA SAID IN COURT

Muratshina did not admit guilt. According to her, she provided customers with her grandmother's account because, as she claimed, this account is not checked by the tax authority due to the relative's pensioner status.

Muratshina also stated that the management of the «Leader» petrol station had spoken of increasing sales volumes. According to her, lorry owners mostly did not trust their drivers and therefore transferred money for fuel to her account or her grandmother's account.

As stated in the verdict, Muratshina also told other cashier-operators that drivers known to her would approach them. According to the prosecution's version, they were offered to release fuel without payment on the condition that the money would be received into one of the specified accounts. After that, Muratshina transferred the money for fuel and lubricants to the cashiers' personal accounts so that they could pay the funds into the «AZS Leader» account and receive bonuses.

WHY THE SENTENCE WAS DEFERRED

The court classified Muratshina's actions under paragraph 2, part 4, article 189 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan («Misappropriation or embezzlement of entrusted property belonging to another person (theft)») and sentenced her to 7.5 years of imprisonment.

At the same time, the court recovered from her in favour of LLP «AZS Leader» 258,722,604 tenge in damages. However, due to the fact that Muratshina has a young child, the court deferred the execution of the imposed sentence. Therefore, after the verdict was delivered, she was released from custody.

The cases against the other cashier-operators were separated by the police into separate proceedings.

The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
