Казахстанские предприятия обязали отчитываться об использовании ИИ

In Kazakhstan, from 1 January 2027, an annual statistical report on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) by enterprises will be introduced. Organisations falling under the new requirements will have to report on their use of AI, and where it is not used, state the reasons.

WHO THE NEW FORM WILL AFFECT

As set out in the order of the Head of the Bureau of National Statistics, a statistical form titled "Report on the use of artificial intelligence by enterprises" with the index 1-AI and annual frequency has been approved.

The requirement applies to legal entities with more than 100 employees in the areas of agriculture, forestry and fisheries, mining and manufacturing, energy supply, water supply, waste management, transport and storage. The report is also provided for certain public administration bodies.

WHAT REASONS FOR NOT USING AI ENTERPRISES WILL GIVE

Organisations that do not use AI must select no more than two principal reasons. These include a lack of funding, skilled personnel, quality data, computing capacity or ready-made solutions on the market.

The form also includes options relating to administrative barriers, a lack of information on how AI can be applied, and a lack of understanding of security issues. A separate field is provided for other reasons.

The organisation must then indicate whether it plans to introduce AI within two, five or ten years, or does not plan to do so at all. The order itself, however, does not oblige enterprises to introduce AI.

WHAT DATA AI USERS WILL PROVIDE

Enterprises already using AI will have to report which technologies they use and for what tasks. The list includes text and speech processing, computer vision, machine learning, AI agents and robots.

The Bureau will also collect data on the use of AI in production, sales, logistics, financial accounting, human resource management and the development of new products.

HOW ORGANISATIONS WILL ASSESS THE RESULTS

The form provides for an assessment of the effect of using artificial intelligence. Enterprises will have to indicate whether the use of these technologies has affected productivity, costs, operational turnaround times, revenue and the quality of management decisions.

The new form will make it possible to collect annual information on the take-up of AI among organisations covered by statistical monitoring, as well as on the factors that, according to the enterprises themselves, hinder the use of these technologies.
