Kazakhstani enterprises have been fined 62 million tenge for safety violations

Since the start of the year, the total amount of fines for violations of industrial safety requirements in Kazakhstan has reached 62 million tenge. A total of 523 employees have been held administratively liable, and the operations of more than 600 facilities and technical devices have been suspended due to serious violations.

WHAT WERE THE RESULTS OF THE INSPECTIONS

The results of the industrial safety inspections were announced by Minister of Emergency Situations Chingis Arinov at a government meeting.

According to him, the number of enterprises inspected since the start of the year has increased by 2.5 times compared to the same period last year. During the inspections, specialists identified more than 10,000 violations.

HOW MANY EMPLOYEES WERE HELD ACCOUNTABLE

As a result of the inspections, 523 employees were held administratively liable. The total amount of fines imposed increased from 6 million tenge to 62 million tenge.

Due to serious violations of industrial safety requirements, the operation of more than 600 facilities and technical devices was suspended.

WHAT IS KNOWN ABOUT SAFETY AT MINES

Separately, the minister reported on the situation at mining enterprises. Last year, 55 mines were inspected.

Following these inspections, modern safety systems have already been implemented at 45 facilities.
