A major road traffic accident involving three vehicles occurred on the Astana – Korgalzhyn highway in the Akmola Region. As a result of the crash, 5 people died, and another 5 injured were taken to medical facilities in Astana.
WHAT HAPPENED
According to the Police Department of the Akmola Region, the accident occurred on Sunday, 21 June, on the Astana – Korgalzhyn highway.
The vehicles involved in the collision were a Kia, a Toyota Fortuner, and a Toyota Land Cruiser.
Both Toyota vehicles caught fire after the collision.
HOW MANY PEOPLE WERE INJURED
As reported by the Police Department, 5 people died at the scene as a result of the road traffic accident. Another 5 people sustained various injuries.
The injured were taken to medical facilities in Astana for necessary treatment.
The accident was accompanied by the ignition of two vehicles, which complicated the situation at the crash site.
