WHEN THE ELECTIONS WILL TAKE PLACE
According to the Presidential Decree, the elections for deputies of the Kurultai are scheduled for 23 August 2026. The document came into force on the day of its official publication.
WHO WILL ORGANISE THE ELECTIONS

CONTEXT

According to the words of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the elections to the Kurultai will mark the beginning of a process of large-scale political transformation. It concerns a 'restructuring' of the entire political system of the country. He also stressed that political and economic reforms must be accompanied by positive changes in public consciousness.
