In Astana, a man in a state of alcohol intoxication ended up in someone else's flat, where three small children were present. According to a relative of the family, the owner of the flat discovered the stranger inside and, after attempting to lead him out of the flat, found himself drawn into a fight.
WHAT IS KNOWN
According to a relative of the family, on 12 September 2026, the mother of three children — aged 6, 4 and 2 — left for work at around 10:35. The children remained at home, and the father was due to return shortly.
At approximately 11:00, the man saw someone else's shoes by the door and noticed that the handle of the front door was damaged. Upon entering, he discovered an unfamiliar naked man who was sleeping in the flat.
According to her, the owner first tried to wake the stranger calmly and lead him out so as not to frighten the children. However, the man began to show aggression, after which a fight broke out between them.
WHAT THE FAMILY IS WORRIED ABOUT
During the fight, the children woke up, began crying and calling for help. Neighbours came at the noise, took the little ones to their place and called the police.
The relative of the family separately emphasised that this concerns the safety of three small children. According to her, the family is also worried about the eldest child, who had previously been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder after a road traffic accident.
WHAT THE POLICE ESTABLISHED
The Police Department (PD) of the city of Astana reported that officers arrived at the scene and identified all those involved in the incident.
According to preliminary data, the man was indeed in a state of alcohol intoxication and mistakenly entered the neighbouring flat. At the same time, law enforcement clarified that he was in the corridor, and not in the room next to the children.
There are no casualties among the children. The police are conducting a pre-trial investigation and are establishing all the circumstances of what happened.
