The Prosecutor's Office of the city of Atyrau removed a land barrier that had prevented the implementation of an investment project by SapaStone LLP worth around 5 billion tenge. The project provides for the construction of a brick factory and the creation of more than 65 jobs .
WHAT WAS HINDERING THE PROJECT
The Prosecutor's Office of the city of Atyrau , in coordination with the Committee for the Protection of Investors' Rights, identified an obstacle related to a land plot with an area of 40 hectares. Due to a dispute over this territory, the implementation of the project was hindered.
The court proceedings had been ongoing since the beginning of 2026. Following the prosecutor's response, the violations were eliminated, and the final court decision allowed the investor to continue working on the project.
AT WHAT STAGE IS THE CONSTRUCTION
Sapa Stone LLP has now started developing the design and estimate documentation. Construction of the factory is planned to begin in 2027.
The new production facility, as reported, will make it possible to increase the output of construction materials in the region and create more than 65 jobs.
WHAT THE DECISION MEANS FOR THE PROJECT
The removal of the land obstacle allowed the investment project to move to the next stage — the preparation of design and estimate documentation.
The Prosecutor's Office of the city of Atyrau also continues work to identify and eliminate administrative and other barriers that hinder the implementation of investment projects, as well as to protect the lawful rights of investors.
CONTEXT
Earlier, a criminal case concerning the under-construction logistics centre of Wildberries in Almaty was terminated due to the absence of a criminal offence. The Committee for the Protection of Investors' Rights intervened after an application from the company related to the conduct of investigative actions on the territory of the facility.
