Since the beginning of 2026, more than 30,000 offences related to non-compliance with requirements for public improvements and sanitary cleanliness have been identified in Astana. The inspections are being carried out as part of the national environmental campaign “Taza Kazakhstan”.
WHAT IS KNOWN
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), work to ensure sanitary cleanliness, compliance with public improvement requirements, and the maintenance of order in public places is carried out on an ongoing basis across the capital.
Since the beginning of 2026, more than 30,000 offences have been identified during patrol operations.
WHAT CAUSED THE OFFENCES
During one of the inspection operations, inspectors found that a contractor had failed to promptly remove construction waste and rubbish after completing construction work.
According to the MIA, the waste had a negative impact on the environment and violated the sanitary condition of the area. The contractor was held to account and instructed to bring the site into proper condition.
WHEN THE AREA WAS CLEANED
Following the intervention, the contractor collected and completely removed all rubbish and construction waste. The area was cleaned.
Another offence was identified on land adjacent to a construction site belonging to another company. Building materials and waste had been stored there, and the sanitary condition of the site did not meet the requirements.
An administrative protocol was drawn up against the construction company.
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CLEANLINESS OF DESIGNATED AREAS
The police remind that violations of requirements for public improvements and sanitary cleanliness are unacceptable. According to the information provided, every business entity and organisation is responsible for the cleanliness of the area assigned to it.
