The Government of Kazakhstan has approved the boundaries of Astana's forest park zone. The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
SCOPE OF THE FOREST PARK ZONE
According to the annex to the document, the forest park zone includes 161 land plots with a total area of 15,913 hectares. Given Astana's total area of approximately 80,000 hectares, this constitutes roughly one-fifth of the city's territory.
The document officially formalises the boundaries of these areas at the level of a government resolution. The resolution comes into force 10 calendar days after its official publication.
HOW THE PLOTS ARE DISTRIBUTED BY DISTRICT
The forest park zone plots are located in all administrative districts of the capital. Large areas are situated in the Yessil and Nura districts, where the largest plot on the list, covering over 1,200 hectares, is located.
Forest park zone territories are also included in the Saryarka, Baikonyr, and Saraishyk districts. The list contains plots of various sizes, including along city highways and on the outskirts of residential areas.
PLOTS WITHOUT CADASTRAL NUMBERS
The annex to the resolution states that 16 land plots with a total area of over 1,400 hectares are included in the list without cadastral numbers.
The largest such territories include:
- a plot of 839.8 hectares near Nurgisa Tlendiyev Avenue and the ring road (Saryarka district);
- a territory of 219.8 hectares near Nurgisa Tlendiyev Avenue and the ring road (Baikonyr district);
- a massif of 130.8 hectares north of the Urker residential area (Nura district);
