A civilian employee of the armed guard service died on the territory of a military unit in the Zhambyl Region. WHAT HAPPENED AT THE GUARD POST
Reports of the person's death began to circulate on social media on the morning of 16 March 2026. However, according to published information, the incident itself occurred the previous day.
According to ORDA, at one of the guard posts in the military unit, a departmental security guard fired a carbine. As a result, the head of the guard, who is a civilian employee of the armed guard service, was wounded.
The victim was taken to a military hospital in a serious condition. Despite the medical assistance provided, he could not be saved.

Information about the incident was confirmed by the Military Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MIA).
The department reported that a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the person's death.
"A pre-trial investigation is being conducted into the death of a civilian employee of the armed guard service in the Zhambyl Region. The circumstances of the incident will be established based on the results of all necessary investigative actions and a set of procedural measures," the Military Investigation Department of the MIA reported.
