The third unofficial wife of former President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev - Assel Kurmanbayeva (Isabayeva) - owns an elite apartment in western Moscow. The property is located in a private residence on Zvenigorodskaya Street.

According to the Telegram channel "Access to the Sea", this emerged from Russian database leaks. It is reported that Kurmanbayeva owns an apartment with an area of 300 m² and two parking spaces.

The building containing the apartment was constructed in 1999 to a bespoke design. It is a low-rise block of just eight apartments, situated in a secluded part of the district: it is surrounded by a park, the grounds are fenced off, and round-the-clock security is in place. Nearby are Suvorovsky Park and the bank of the Moskva River.

The purchase deal for the apartment was finalised in October 2017. It is noted that currently only one similar apartment of 340 m² is for sale in this building — the price, depending on the listing, ranges from 290 million to 512 million rubles (approximately from 1.95 to 3.4 billion tenge)

A flat of similar size was previously valued at 180 million rubles (about 1 billion tenge), although initially the asking price was 220 million rubles (1.4 billion tenge).

For context, Kurmanbayeva's sister - Akmara Yespolova - also owns an elite apartment in Dubai. This is evidenced by data from a large-scale leak containing information about property owners in the largest city in the UAE.

The apartment, with an area of 150 m², is located in the Paramount Tower Hotel & Residences complex in the Business Bay district. According to estimates from Dubai property services, the market value of the flat in 2025 is around 3.5 million dirhams (approximately 520 million tenge).
