The Committee for State Material Reserves of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan is selling a significant batch of buckwheat groats. Auctioned off are 170.65 tonnes of first-grade buckwheat produced by SP Altai LLP

The price-reduction auction starts at 172 million tenge. Trading is scheduled to begin on 11 February.

The product, packed in bags of 50 kilograms, is currently stored in the warehouses of the Vysota branch of the Committee for State Material Reserves of the Ministry of Defence and Aerospace Industry in the village of Yuzhny, Abay District, Karaganda Region.

It is important to note that this sale fully complies with established regulations.

According to government resolution No. 1108 of 17 October 2014, products from the state material reserve with a shelf life of 18–24 months must be put up for sale no less than 12 months before the expiry date. This helps manage stocks and prevent product spoilage.

As is known, the state material reserve ensures the country's food security during periods of emergencies, crises, or epidemics. Selling goods with approaching expiry dates is a standard inventory management practice.
