Production of self-propelled, trailed and mounted John Deere machinery has begun in Kazakhstan at the Localisation Centre in Kostanay. This project could be an important step in the development of domestic engineering and the introduction of advanced technologies into the country's agricultural sector, potentially providing access to world-class, high-quality agricultural machinery.
The launch of the new production facility is taking place at the Localisation Centre of the Agromash plant, which is considered one of the largest localised industrial sites in the agricultural machinery sector in Kazakhstan. This project is likely to expand the capabilities of local engineering and could strengthen the country's position in the agricultural sector.
"Thanks to the political and economic reforms being carried out in the country, it has become possible to create industrial cooperation with a leading American brand of agricultural machinery - John Deere. This is a historic moment. As a result of such high-tech projects, we are not just creating new jobs and adopting innovative technologies; we are shaping an engineering mindset among Kazakhstanis," noted Dinara Shukizhanova, President of the Agromash plant.
The localisation of John Deere production opens up new opportunities for Kazakh farmers, including an expanded range of agricultural machinery adapted to local conditions, as well as possible access to purchasing equipment with state support measures.
The official representative of the John Deere brand in Kazakhstan is the company Eurasia Group. As part of the project, they promise to continue the sale of Kazakh-produced agricultural machinery, the provision of services, and the implementation of digital solutions in the country's agricultural sector.
The implementation of the project also implies additional resources for the development of the economy and education, including the training of specialists in agriculture: agronomists, engineers, machinery operators, and IT personnel. It is tentatively planned that over the next five years, three modern service centres will be built, which could become platforms for the introduction of digital technologies.

As part of expanding industrial cooperation, Agromash plans to localise other Western brands as well, which will significantly increase the share of localised agricultural machinery on the Kazakh market. Today, the Localisation Centre concentrates the production of both components and the agricultural machinery itself from leading global brands, including John Deere, Lovol, Deutz-Fahr, Kirovets, Gomselmash, Amazone, Claas and others.
Thus, the Kostanay region is capable of strengthening its status as one of the significant clusters for the production of agricultural machinery in Kazakhstan and could become an important centre for the country's industrial and agricultural sectors.
