In Aktobe over the past two weeks, two visitors have died at the private swimming pool "Poseidon" — men aged 27 and 38. Both had visited this facility on multiple occasions.

According to the Telegram channel "HALYQSTAN", the police department of the Aktobe region reported that pre-trial investigations have been launched into both incidents under Part 2 of Article 306 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan ("Provision of services not meeting safety requirements, resulting in the death of a person").

Law enforcement officers have ordered a forensic medical examination, upon completion of which an assessment will be made of the actions of the pool's management.

According to representatives of "Poseidon", the pool was temporarily closed "for technical reasons". The facility's official Instagram page has restricted comments and has not published any condolences or information about the closure.

Incidentally, in 2019 a pensioner died of heart failure at the same pool.

It is worth recalling that on 13 July, a case of chlorine poisoning was recorded at the Palma water park in Atyrau. More than 15 people were affected, including 13 children.

Later, sanitary inspectors carried out an unscheduled inspection of other swimming pools in the city. 20 facilities were checked, and the results were alarming. Nearly half of the water samples showed exceedances in chemical indicators, and one in ten revealed bacteriological violations.
