The Prosecutor's Office of the Karaganda Region has uncovered instances of failure to provide medical services, as well as the storage of expired medicinal products.
According to the department's press service, since 2022, nearly 3,000 pupils in Karaganda schools have been left without medical care.
Furthermore, in the medical room of one school, medicines with an expired shelf life were stored, which are used in emergency treatment for severe forms of allergic and shock reactions.
Medicinal products with a 5 to 7-year expired shelf life were also found in other schools in the region. As a result, the expired medicines were destroyed, and those responsible were held accountable.
It will be recalled that it was previously reported that the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan received a proposal to implement a medicinal product monitoring programme from the company Medical Value Chain (MVC). However, Kazakhtelecom lobbied for its own product labelling information system, which is significantly inferior to the foreign equivalent.
The editorial board of the FBKK even conducted an analysis of both information systems in order to determine which of the presented monitoring programmes is more effective.
