In the UK, a Kazakh Order of Dostyk is being sold, which was given by ex-President Nazarbayev to former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.

According to CMN.KZ, the relevant listing appeared on the British antiques sales platform Peter Harrington. The price of the order was £12,500 (nearly 7.9 million tenge).

It is noted that Nazarbayev presented this award to Margaret Thatcher in 2001 for her contribution to the development of relations between Kazakhstan and the UK. Despite minor scuffs, the order is in good condition.

"The gem-encrusted breast star, together with the badge of the order on a shoulder sash, is presented on a blue velvet cushion inside an original dark blue case lined with white satin, with the inscription 'Dostyk' along the front edge of the lid and brass clasps. A presentation booklet is included.", the description states.
