Nurali Aliev received billions before the sale of Transtelecom

The grandson of former president Nursultan Nazarbayev, son of Dariga NazarbayevaNurali Aliyev – received dividends before withdrawing from the shareholders and board of directors of JSC "TransTeleCom".

According to ORDA, the company announced the decision to pay dividends on shares for 2023 on the day Aliyev declared he was selling his stake in the company. 

This is evidenced by a document published on the KASE. It has become known that the total amount of dividends paid amounted to 6 billion tenge

"In fact, investors who held stakes in the company as of 27 January received about four and a half billion tenge (1,064.19 tenge per ordinary share), with the remainder to be paid later. At that time, Nurali Aliyev, together with Dmitry Pokupatelev, owned 75% of TransTeleCom shares through the LLP 'Unit Telecom'," the statement says.

Following the announcement of the sale of his stake in the company, Aliyev's position as chairman of the board of directors was taken by Pokupatelev.

For context, it was previously reported that Nurali Aliyev had withdrawn from the shareholders of JSC "TransTeleCom" and resigned as chairman of the board of directors in connection with the sale of the company.
