In Almaty, police officers coordinated by the city prosecutor's office conducted a special operation to suppress the illegal trafficking of psychotropic and narcotic substances in entertainment venues.
DETAILS OF THE SPECIAL OPERATION
As reported by the portal Polisia.kz, during the special operation in one of the city's nightclubs, a kitchen worker was detained at his workplace on suspicion of drug distribution.
WHAT WAS FOUND
During a personal search, powdery substances and plant matter with a specific odour, presumably psychotropic and narcotic drugs, were seized from the cook. All seized items have been sent for expert analysis. Following the arrest, police conducted a search at the suspect's place of residence.
CONSEQUENCES
The suspect has been taken into custody. An investigation is underway. The police continue their work to identify supply channels and individuals involved in the illegal drug trade.
