The MP demanded the return of a business seized during the era of "Old Kazakhstan".

A Majilis deputy and member of the AMANAT party faction Yerlan Sairov demanded the return of businesses which, he claims, were once taken by representatives of the so-called 'Old Kazakhstan'.

According to the Telegram channel 'Azattyq Rýhy', the Majilisman believes these events occurred largely due to the father-in-law of ex-President Nazarbayev - Rakhat Aliyev.

'President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev consistently advocates for upholding the rights of entrepreneurs who have unjustly suffered at the hands of law enforcement agencies. According to information from some entrepreneurs, since the early 2000s, representatives of Old Kazakhstan have systematically conducted hostile takeovers of businesses. The ruling elite, exploiting their impunity and bypassing all legal and moral norms, deprived entrepreneurs of their livelihoods with particular cruelty. Such lawlessness flourished because of Rakhat Aliyev and his supporters', the deputy stated at a plenary session of the Majilis.

According to Sairov, the victims demand the return of the businesses and property taken from them.

Recall that previously we reported on how the actions of JSC 'Investment Fund of Kazakhstan' (IFK) and JSC 'Development Bank of Kazakhstan' (DBK), LLP 'Operator ROP' and a number of state bodies led to the bankruptcy of the unique tyre recycling and processing plant LLP 'Kazakhstan Rubber Recycling'. Later, the founder of the FBRK, Kirill Pavlov, visited the plant, or rather what remains of it.

We also wrote that the ex-owners of ruined enterprises controlled by the IFK sent a letter to the President asking for help to return their investment assets

Meanwhile, we learned that IFK and DBK left the 'Semipalatinsk Fur and Leather Combine' (SFLC) with no chance of survival. The enterprise, recognised as the largest in Central Asia and unique in Kazakhstan, was bankrupted due to conditions created by the subsidiary organisations of the NMH 'Baiterek'.
