This was reported to the Kazinform International News Agency by TATEK JSC (Taldykorgan joint-stock transport and electricity grid company). According to preliminary data, electricity is out not only in Taldykorgan but also in other populated areas of the region.
Due to the outage, traffic lights are not working. As of 15:30, the power supply had still not been restored.
No information has yet been provided by TATEK JSC regarding the causes of the emergency outage. According to the company, restoration work is underway and the circumstances of the incident are being established.
Meanwhile, the Telegram channel ZTB NEWS reports that, as of 15:50, the power supply in Taldykorgan had been restored.
Earlier, dozens of residential buildings in Aktau were left without electricity. As reported by the State Utility Company "AUES" (Emergency Dispatch Service for Power Supply), damage to cable lines was recorded in 10 microdistricts, as well as in the residential area "Ak Zhelken".
All faults were later repaired. Representatives of AUES stated that the incident was due to high air temperatures, increased load on the networks, and the deterioration of the cable infrastructure.
