The Abai Region Prosecutor's Office has returned 42,000 hectares of unused land plots to state ownership.
According to the press service of the department, an inspection revealed that a number of land users had not used 104 land plots for their intended purpose for a long time.
As a result of the prosecutor's office's measures, all these lands with a cadastral value of 516 million tenge were returned to the state.
"In accordance with the Address of the Head of State dated 2 September 2024, the local executive body is working to provide the returned land plots for use to bona fide entities," the department concluded.
Earlier, the prosecutor's office of the Nura district of the Karaganda region returned an unused agricultural plot with a cadastral value of 4.78 billion tenge to state ownership.
