The FBRC editorial team continues its report on the total remuneration amounts for members of the executive bodies of Kazakhstan's national companies.
Previously, we wrote about the bonus amounts received by board members of JSC "NC "KazMunayGas", JSC "NAC "Kazatomprom", JSC "NC "QazaqGaz", JSC "Kazakhtelecom", JSC "KEGOC", JSC "Samruk-Energy", JSC "Kazpost" and JSC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy", which are part of the Kazakh investment holding company JSC "NWF "Samruk-Kazyna".
Today we will look at the total revenue of the board members of JSC "Samruk-Kazyna Construction" (formerly JSC "Samruk-Kazyna Real Estate Fund"), which specialises in the development of Kazakhstan's construction industry.
From 2018 to 2022, the position of chairman of the board of the national company was held by Bolatkan Sandybayev.
He previously worked as the general director of the corporate fund "Company for the Construction of Facilities", which is part of the JSC "NWF Samruk-Kazyna" group of companies.
In 2020, 5 members of the executive body of JSC "Samruk-Kazyna Construction" received a total of more than 85 million tenge.
In 2021, 7 people were awarded bonuses totalling more than 117 million tenge.
In January 2022, Mr Sandybayev stepped down early from his role as chairman of the board.
In August of the same year, it became known that he had been detained on suspicion of embezzling funds during the sale of electricity for the needs of the Atyrau Oil Refinery (ANPZ).
At the time, the former chairman of "Samruk-Kazyna Construction" was detained along with the former head of LLP "Karabatan Utility Solutions", which is part of the JSC "NWF Samruk-Kazyna" group of companies, Kanat Akhmetov.
In 2022, Mauken Aimanbetov took up the position of chairman of the board of the national company.
At that time, the executive body consisting of 6 people received a total of more than 81 million tenge.
In 2023, the total bonus amount for 6 board members was over 97 million tenge.
According to Mr Aimanbetov, last year the deputy of the "Comfortable School" project, Amangeldy Sattarov, received 1 million 200 thousand tenge.
The director of the department for working with the "Comfortable School" project, Yerbol Akhmetov, was earning 940 thousand tenge per month.
In turn, the chairman of the board himself received a salary of 1 million 800 thousand tenge.
