The President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) Gennady Golovkin has revoked the powers of the Secretary General Zhanar Utesheva.
According to the official website of the NOC, in addition, members of the General Assembly will consider the issue of her expulsion from the executive committee.
"The powers of the Secretary General, granted on the basis of a power of attorney, have been revoked in accordance with the order of the President of the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan. Furthermore, the issue of expelling Utesheva Z. from the executive committee as Secretary General due to loss of confidence will be submitted for consideration by the members of the General Assembly.", the statement reads.
It has become known that Zhanar Utesheva had held the post of Secretary General since 28 February of this year. Notably, prior to this, she was a media relations representative for Gennady Golovkin's team.
