The press service of the Tselinograd District Court of Akmola Region reported that six residents of the village of Koyandy were fined for illegally organising a rally.

According to informburo.kz, the court noted that the villagers, without notifying the akimat of the rally, violated the requirements of Article 10 of the law "On the Procedure for Organising and Holding Peaceful Gatherings in the Republic of Kazakhstan"

One of the villagers was fined 184,000 tenge for illegally organising a rally, and the other five for participating in it – 110,000 tenge each. Considering the presence of minor children, the fines for the women on this list were reduced by 30%.

"The court issued a special ruling addressed to the akim of the region and the akim of the district to take appropriate measures regarding the akim of the village of Koyandy for insufficient measures to ensure safety in flood zones during possible emergency situations", the court added.

It will be recalled that on 26 March, residents of Koyandy blocked the "Astana – Pavlodar" highway, preventing cars from passing. In this way, they were trying to draw attention to the flood problem. The district akim and the head of the regional emergency situations department came out to address them. Later, the people dispersed.
