The project for the Aksai Dam in the Almaty mountains, costing 22 billion tenge, was not accepted due to violations. According to bes.media, Majilis deputy Sergei Ponomarev stated that the company Tologai faced problems when handing over the Aksai Dam to the state balance sheet.

It is reported that the project, for which 22 billion tenge was allocated, was attempted to be handed over with serious violations. The main complaint is that the water galleries were combined, although they should be separate.

"Despite the fact that the dam is vital for supplying water to 100,000 people living downstream, and considering that nearly 30 billion tenge was spent on other related projects, the project cannot be accepted onto the state balance sheet," the statement says.

As it turned out, despite the violations, the client Kazselezashchita accepted the work, arguing that the deviation from the standard does not harm the project. However, the state expert review did not accept the facility, citing the seriousness of the violations. Experts now cannot reach a consensus.

"The creation of an interdepartmental commission is required, possibly involving international experts. The issue of accepting the facility onto the state balance sheet may require a government decision," Ponomarev noted.
