The Department of the Agency for Financial Monitoring (AFM) in Almaty has shut down the activities of the financial pyramids "Warner Bros", "Roborock" and "NFT+TRX".

According to the agency's press office, the organisers of the financial pyramid convinced investors to put money into projects under the pretext of earning high profits from watching movie trailers.

The average deposit amount was 225,000 tenge, and payments were accepted only in the cryptocurrency USDT.

For example, investors in the "Warner Bros" financial pyramid registered in a special app, purchased access, and received supposedly accrued rewards for watching trailers, as well as for inviting new investors.

During the investigation, AFM officers identified the cryptocurrency wallets used to collect funds from investors. With court authorisation, crypto assets worth 3.8 million USDT (1.9 billion tenge) were frozen.

Earlier, in the Kyzylorda region, a sentence was passed in the case of organising a structural unit of the "Qnet" financial pyramid, whose investors lost over 63 million tenge.
