The court confiscated 46 land plots belonging to the head of the construction company G-Park, former Maslikhat deputy Gabit Satmagambetov.
According to ‘Nege.Aqsha’, in April the Court of Appeal upheld the sentence of businessman Anuarbek Dzhaksengaliyev, who was sentenced to 6 years and 8 months in prison.
It is reported that he was convicted for embezzling 1.1 billion tenge from the budget between July 2018 and April 2021, and then used part of the funds to purchase land plots, from the sale of which he earned an income of 4.7 billion tenge.
At the same time, the court confiscated from Dzhaksengaliyev 46 land plots in the consumer cooperative of dacha plot owners (CCDPO) ‘Trud-2’, the consumer cooperative of owners (CCO) ‘Druzhba-2’, as well as the gardening partnerships ‘Rodnichok’ and ‘Ryabinushka’, which belong to the head of the construction company G-Park, Gabit Satmagambetov.
‘The pre-trial investigation and the court established that in 2021, Dzhaksengaliyev A.B. used embezzled budget funds and criminal proceeds to acquire 46 land plots, which were transferred to Satmagambetov G.Kh. in February-March 2022. In this case, the land plots registered in the name of Satmagambetov G.Kh. are subject to confiscation to the state as proceeds of crime and acquired with funds obtained through criminal means’, the verdict states.
It has become known that the companies of Anuarbek Dzhaksengaliyev were registered in the name of his sister Anel. According to Satmagambetov, it was with her that he entered into joint venture agreements.
‘She provided the land plots for the construction of the residential complex "Madrid-1,2", and he, upon completion of construction, gave her apartments in the complex in return. Initially, Dzhaksengaliyeva promised to bring utility networks to this building, but as she did not do so, she gave him those very plots for the construction of the properties’, the statement reads.
Ultimately, the court ruled that these plots are subject to confiscation, and Satmagambetov can recover the debt from his business partner through civil proceedings.
Previously, the head of government Olzhas Bektenov expressed concern over the problematic properties built by the construction company G-Park. According to him, the company is building seven residential buildings in the capital without the necessary permits. He noted that around 3,500 families have invested their funds in them.
