The Anti-Corruption Service for the North Kazakhstan Region has completed a pre-trial investigation into the head of a commercial organisation.

According to the department's press service, he is accused of embezzling 840 million tenge ($1.7 million), which was allocated from the National Fund to purchase equipment for growing leafy vegetables during the construction of a greenhouse complex.

The criminal case has been sent to court.

It will be recalled that earlier in the North Kazakhstan Region, the head of an agricultural production cooperative (APC) was detained. He is suspected of embezzling more than 50 million tenge in the form of a subsidy for processing dairy products.
