Ambulance services may stop responding round-the-clock to category four calls due to a lack of funding.
According to Kursiv.media, such cases include patient conditions caused by an acute illness or exacerbation of a chronic one, without a potential threat to the patient's life or health.
"Now, according to the draft, mobile teams will respond to category four cases during their working hours — from 8:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and from 8:00 to 12:00 on Saturdays. In addition, the new draft states that the arrival time of mobile teams for category four calls will double — from one hour to 120 minutes," the statement said.
It is reported that the Ministry of Health explained they plan to change the tariff due to a lack of funding. The department stated that costs are not being covered, so they are forced to go into debt.
The document was published on the portal "Open NPA", and its discussion will last until October 8.
Recall that earlier it was reported that the administration of a district hospital in the East Kazakhstan Region did not repay a debt of 134 million tenge to 27 entrepreneurs who had fulfilled their obligations under concluded contracts.
In August, the head of the Astana health department, Aliya Rustemova, said that the accounts payable of the city's hospitals amounts to 14.7 billion tenge.
She noted that the budget of medical organisations financed through the Compulsory Social Health Insurance Fund (CSHIF) this year was 120.4 billion tenge, which is 2.5% more than last year.
