Business of the President of the Kazakhstan Football Federation Adilet Barmenkulov

Submitted by Вера Александрова on

The President of the Kazakhstan Football Federation (KFF) Adilet Barmenkulov has become a co-founder of the innovative company LLP «LED Solutions», writes Kazakh sports journalist Ivan Rezvantsev on his channel.

LLP «LED Solutions» positions itself as a leading innovative company in Central Asia in the field of LED lighting and semiconductor solutions for wireless and energy applications, reports  the «Uncle Vanya» channel citing the company's website.

As the journalist notes, the firm was founded in 2010. For the last few years, the sole owner of «LED Solutions» was its founder and general director - a former tax inspector for the Medeu district of Almaty, Kanybek Aytakov. And in June, he gained a new co-founder in the person of Adilet Barmenkulov.

According to Ivan Rezvantsev, at one time «LED Solutions» secured the general contract for lighting the pavilions of the EXPO-2017 exhibition complex in Astana. In addition, the enterprise has a modern production plant, with an area of more than 2,700 sq m, located on the territory of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) «Astana - new city».

«As stated in open sources, the company's charter capital amounts to up to $5 million. Judging by the tax payments, the company's affairs are on the up. Mandatory contributions over all the years of its existence amounted to 938.3 million tenge. In 2024, the volume of work under state orders also increased: contracts worth 1.11 billion tenge were concluded in 9 months. This is an absolute record for the LLP», writes Rezvantsev.

Apparently, Adilet Barmenkulov has sorted out all the problems of Kazakh football, since he has finally found time in his busy schedule to engage in such a large business.

Incidentally, until recently, the head of the KFF was listed as the founder of only two companies - LLP «Art Company KZ» and LLP «ANTEQ Industrial management group».

The latter, recall, in 2021 won a tender worth 16 million tenge for providing psychological support services to the coaching staff of the football club «Shakhter».

The editorial board of FBRK has written more than once that the reputation of Adilet Barmenkulov has long been criticised and raises doubts not only among journalists and football fans, but even among the leadership of UEFA

In July, it was reported that two football clubs among the giants complained about the head of the «Kazakhstan Football Federation» to the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body (CEDB). Later, it became known that the Union of European Football Associations suspected Barmenkulov's involvement in the organisation of match-fixing.

After the September match Kazakhstan – Norway, which turned out to be a flagrant disgrace for our country in terms of organisation, Barmenkulov published a post on social networks in which he shifted all responsibility onto local authorities, law enforcement bodies and «Freedom Ticketon».

Later, apparently realising that all his misdeeds in the position of KFF president could lead to adverse consequences, he began openly flattering the head of state on social networks, presumably counting on continued favour.

We also examined in detail which people Barmenkulov brought in to develop Kazakh football. In particular, one of his close associates became the head coach of the Kazakhstan national football team Stanislav Cherchesov, who, in the opinion of the public, periodically shows disrespect for the Kazakh language with his 'jokes'. One such joke not long ago cost Cherchesov 200 MCI (738,400 tenge).

Given the listed facts, the question arises: perhaps Adilet Barmenkulov should direct all his resources towards achieving more priority goals as president of the KFF (for example, raising the level of football, eradicating corruption risks within it, resolving scandals around the federation, etc.), and only then think about personal interests?

Otherwise, it is never too late to focus on business and hand over the reins of the «Kazakhstan Football Federation» to someone who can bring order to it.
