The interview of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev with the newspaper "Turkistan" became the basis for a tough discussion in the government. Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov demanded that ministers abandon formal reports and focus on practical results, emphasising the need for prompt implementation of the Head of State's instructions.

WHAT INSTRUCTIONS HAVE BEEN GIVEN TO THE GOVERNMENT

The government meeting on Tuesday began with a speech by Olzhas Bektenov, during which he gave specific instructions to the heads of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other state bodies.

The occasion was an extensive interview with the President, which touched on issues of tax reform, tourism development, the situation on the roads, as well as the prospects for individual sectors of the economy.

THE PRIME MINISTER'S POSITION

According to Bektenov, the President's interview is programmatic in nature and defines the tasks for the immediate future for the entire system of state administration.

"All central and local state bodies and national companies must make every effort to successfully implement them. We need to move from words to deeds," the Prime Minister said.

He also called on state bodies to act pragmatically, save budget funds and deliver concrete results.

CRITICISM OF THE FORMAL APPROACH

Olzhas Bektenov specifically addressed the quality of work of officials, criticising the formal approach to carrying out tasks.

"Stop the reports and presentations. If there are no results, it's all just words. If you cannot work in a new way, say so openly, and we will resolve these issues," he emphasised.

MONITORING OF IMPLEMENTATION

The Prime Minister instructed his deputies to take on the coordination of the implementation of the President's instructions in relevant areas.
