The Astana Prosecutor's Office conducted an analysis of the enforcement of court judgments in favour of the state, including in favour of City Transportation Systems LLP (formerly Astana LRT company), whose sole founder is the capital's akimat.

According to the press service of the department, the debtors transferred 39 non-residential premises and a land plot with railway tracks covering an area of 12.8 hectares, designated for servicing the asphalt concrete plant property, to the state balance sheet.

The total value of the transferred assets amounted to 920 million tenge.

"At the implementation stage, there are still 37 property items worth a total of 615 million tenge in favour of the state. Work in this direction continues", the statement reads.

It is worth recalling that in 2021, seven defendants were convicted in the case of embezzlement during the implementation of the Astana LRT project. The former deputy akim of the capital, Kanat Sultanbekov, and the former head of the Astana LRT company, Talgar Ardan, were placed on an international wanted list.
