According to statistics, Kazakhstan produced a record number of computers and laptops from January to February - the "production" of computer equipment in the country supposedly increased by 4.4 times. However, in reality, Kazakhstan does not manufacture computers; in our country, they are merely assembled.
According to data from the monitoring agency EnergyProm, on paper, Kazakhstan produced 6.1 thousand computers and laptops during this period. It is reported that all components for Kazakhstani computers are purchased from abroad. Also, according to official data, 23.2% of computers sold in the country are domestic.
"Let's be honest, it's hard to imagine that every fourth computer sold in the Republic of Kazakhstan is actually Kazakhstani-produced (or even assembled). We will not comment on this data," stated analysts at EnergyProm.
At the same time, laptop prices in Kazakhstan rose by 13.3% in March, including for domestic ones.
Recall that earlier, the manufacturer of domestic computers, Beibit Temirgali, was acquitted in a case concerning embezzlement. It all began when the businessman's company assembled more than 25 thousand units of equipment on the order of state bodies.
Later, the entrepreneur was accused of supplying equipment that did not meet the technical specifications to the Zhambyl Region. They attempted to bring him to criminal responsibility for 100 laptops.
