On the eve of Family Day, representatives of the Mothers' Council of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan (APK) in the Karaganda region organised a visit to the social centre "Mothers' House".
During the event, members of the Mothers' Council met with women facing difficult life circumstances, congratulated them on the holiday, and provided necessary household items for the mothers and their children. According to the organisers, such initiatives aim to strengthen the role of motherhood in society and offer support to families in need.

The participants of the "Mothers' House" programme expressed their gratitude for the attention shown, highlighting the importance of such support in their current circumstances.
It is worth noting that the APK Mothers' Council actively participates in supporting "Mothers' Houses", providing assistance and organising charity events. The "Mothers' House" project operates in 19 cities of Kazakhstan and is a network of 25 crisis centres offering temporary accommodation, psychological, legal, and material support to women with children who find themselves in difficult life situations. Since its foundation, over 3,600 women have received support.
It should be recalled that on 15 May in Kazakhstan, as in the rest of the world, International Day of Families is observed, established by the UN General Assembly in 1993. This holiday highlights the importance of the family as the foundation of society and aims to draw attention to issues related to the well-being, care, support, and future of children.
In 2025, the theme of the International Day of Families focuses on family-oriented programmes for sustainable development, emphasising the need to integrate family policies into national development programmes to address global challenges such as technological transformation, demographic shifts, and climate change.
