Since the start of the year, 5,918 Kazakh citizens have received a special social payment (SSP) for those who have worked for a long time in hazardous working conditions. In total, 6,648 people applied for the payment.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, payments are assigned to individuals who have reached the age of 55, with professional pension contributions to the UAPF of at least 7 years, and who have left an enterprise with hazardous working conditions. The funds will be paid until they reach retirement age.
"2,612 people applied for the special social payment from 2 sources (the republican budget and the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund), of which payments were assigned to 2,517 recipients. 4,036 people applied for the payment from 4 sources (the republican budget, the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund, the employer, and a life insurance company), of which payments were assigned to 3,401 recipients", the statement said.
It was also reported that in 2024, more than 37,000 people will be eligible for the SSP. The average payment amount will be 208,000 tenge. It is also reported that the amount for each worker will depend on their savings in the UAPF.
