In Kyzylorda, 5 billion tenge has been allocated from the government reserve for the construction of hot water supply networks. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
According to the press service of the department, Kyzylorda is currently the only regional centre in the country without a centralised hot water supply system.
It has been reported that homes in the city are supplied with hot water via electric heating or gas heating devices, which could lead to emergencies.
It is noted that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed that the issue of providing the city with hot water supply be resolved by the end of 2025 during his working trip to the region.
The project, costing 26.2 billion tenge, is planned to be implemented in two stages. The first stage, for 187 homes, which cost 11 billion tenge, began in 2024. In the second stage, 236 homes are planned to be connected this year.
"The 5 billion tenge allocated by this decree from the government reserve will be used for priority work in the second stage this year. Thus, as a result of the project's implementation, 423 multi-storey residential buildings in the city of Kyzylorda will be connected to the centralised hot water supply system," the statement reads.
