6 million fine issued to official for bribery in the Zhetysu region

In the Zhetysu region, a sentence has been handed down to the head of the construction, architecture and urban planning department of Panfilov District, Yu. Mukhpulov

According to the press service of the Anti-Corruption Agency, he was found guilty of accepting a bribe through an intermediary, A. Khasanov, in the amount of 200 thousand tenge from a certain K. Apizov. The bribe was intended for changing the designated purpose of a land plot. 

As a result, the court sentenced Mukhpulov to a fine of 6 million tenge, Khasanov to 2 million tenge, and Apizov to 4 million tenge

All convicted individuals have been permanently disqualified from holding positions in public service.

"In accordance with Article 41 of the Criminal Code, if the fine is not paid within the established time limits, the penalty will be replaced with imprisonment. The court verdict has entered into legal force," the statement reads.
