The Mangistau Regional Police Department has published an announcement for the purchase of 180 souvenir watches. Around 2 million tenge from the budget is planned to be spent on this.
According to Lada.kz, a supplier has not yet been found. Incidentally, the deadline for applications is supposed to end today, 24 September.
The technical specification states that the strap of the accessory must be made of calfskin, and the watches themselves are covered with a thin layer of gold.
"The mechanism – no worse than Japanese/Swiss. Mechanism type – quartz. Case with full PVD gold (gold) coating (titanium nitride + gold 10 microns). Back cover made of stainless steel. Shock-resistant balance unit. Glass – mineral, scratch-resistant. Water resistance – at least 5 ATM", the statement reads.
Another condition of the customer is the presence of an impressive case for the accessory. The watches must be in a gift box with a passport and certificate, and also have a laser engraving with the logo "Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and the inscription "MAŃǴYSTAU OBLYSY POLICIA DEPARTAMENTI".
It is reported that the cost of each individual watch should not exceed 11 thousand tenge. For a set of 80 women's watches, the department is ready to allocate 880 thousand tenge, and for 100 men's watches - 1.1 million tenge.
The press service of the regional police department reported that the department gives such watches as gifts to distinguished employees and veterans of law enforcement agencies. The department attached a photograph of the souvenirs, assuring that there is nothing special about them.
