The specialised inter-district economic court of Astana has upheld the lawsuit filed by the Ministry of Defence against JSC «K-Dorstroy» for the recovery of an advance payment of 1 billion 36 million tenge and a penalty in the amount of 31 million tenge.
According to the press service of the Main Military Prosecutor's Office, the joint-stock company had undertaken to carry out major repairs to the airfield runway «Zhetygen» in the Ili district of the Almaty region, but failed to fulfil the terms of the contract.
«Due to the prolonged non-compliance with the court decision that had been made, the Main Military Prosecutor's Office has taken a number of measures and submitted a supervisory act to the justice authorities», the statement reads.
As a result, the damages were compensated in full: the debtor transferred 1 billion 67 million tenge to the state revenue.
