The Minister of Finance Madi Takiyev has revealed how much is spent on salaries for all of Kazakhstan's civil servants.
According to informburo.kz, in the corridors of government, journalists raised the question of whether it was time to reduce the number of civil servants, noting that the public sector had grown significantly in recent years. In their view, this would save budget funds.
"I can tell you about the total salary of the entire state apparatus. This amount is 1 trillion and 32 thousand. That is the total annual salary of all civil servants", said Madi Takiyev.
According to the minister, the number of officials has not changed in 10 years. He stated that the country still employs approximately 89,000 civil servants.
It will be recalled that earlier it was reported that in 2023, part of the monthly salaries of ministers and their deputies was "eaten up" by inflation. At the same time, it emerged that last year, the salaries of heads of republican government departments were around 1.4 million tenge.
