The Taldykorgan city court has announced the verdict for the sports director of the football club "Zhetysu", Daulet Imankulov.

According to the press service of the Anti-Corruption Agency, he was found guilty of embezzling budget funds in the amount of 5.5 million tenge. It is reported that he managed to obtain the money under the pretext of issuing a bonus to a footballer.
As a result, the court sentenced Imankulov to 3 years and 6 months of restriction of liberty.
Let us recall that in June, law enforcement agencies detained the director of the football club "Zhetysu", Kalmukhamet Donsebayev. The reasons for the arrest were not disclosed at the time, however, a number of media outlets, citing the Anti-Corruption Agency, reported that Donsebayev is suspected of embezzling budget funds in the amount of 85.4 million tenge.
In addition, it was reported that the president of the "Kazakhstan Football Federation", Adilet Barmenkulov, has lost the trust of UEFA's leadership, and as a result, the Union of European Football Associations is conducting an investigation into him.
It has become known that UEFA is investigating why Barmenkulov took no action, knowing about Kazakhstani football clubs fixing matches, and what degree of personal interest he had.
