The head of the regional department of entrepreneurship and industry, Dinmukhamed Absattarov, has been convicted in Kyzylorda.
According to the press service of Anticor, he issued unlawful instructions to entrepreneurs requiring them to pay for his son's tuition to the amount of 1.4 million tenge and to provide diesel fuel worth 6.8 million tenge.
"Furthermore, the official was convicted for obstructing legitimate entrepreneurial activity by restricting the rights of regional enterprises to receive their entitled volume of liquefied gas, thereby causing damage to business entities in the amount of 26.9 million tenge", the statement reads.
In the end, the court sentenced Absattarov to 9 months' imprisonment with a lifetime ban from holding positions in the civil service and the quasi-public sector.
"A motion was also submitted to strip him of his state award – the 'Yeren enbegi ushin' medal. The sentence has entered into legal force", the statement reads.
