The government has decided to allocate over 10 billion tenge from the Special State Fund for laying water supply networks in the Abai region.
According to the press service of the department, a total of 21 water supply projects are being implemented in the region, seven of which are in Semey. It is noted that currently access to water supply services in Semey stands at 95.5%, and in the region's villages – at 95%.
It is expected that as part of the projects, utility networks will be installed in the Borodulikha, Urdzhar and Abai districts.
"The implementation of these projects is aimed at improving the quality of life of the population, ensuring access to utility services, and modernising infrastructure in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State," the statement said.
The facilities are planned to be commissioned this year.
Recall that in March, the government allocated around 4.2 billion tenge from the Special State Fund for the construction and modernisation of water supply systems in the Aral district of the Kyzylorda region.
In April, the government allocated 1 billion tenge from the Special State Fund to provide water supply to residents of the towns of Kosshy and Makinsk in the Akmola region.
In July, the fund allocated over 20 billion tenge for the construction and modernisation of water supply networks in the Turkestan region.
