Prosecutors in Astana have found that the local executive authority did not properly organise school healthcare services.
According to the department's press service, the state body issued a decree assigning medical organisations to 32 schools that did not have licences for medical practice or the necessary sanitary and epidemiological approvals.
Under the prosecution's supervisory order, those responsible were subjected to disciplinary action.
"A working group has been established, comprising staff from the sanitary-epidemiological, medical and pharmaceutical sectors, and has begun bringing these facilities into compliance with healthcare legislation requirements," the department concluded.
For context, the Aktobe regional prosecutor's office previously inspected district hospitals and found serious violations in financial and medical reporting totalling 80 million tenge.
