The prosecutor's office of the Mangystau region has identified serious violations in the activities of JSC «Mangystaumunaigas».

According to the press service of the agencies, the company was found to be dumping wastewater into the subsoil, as well as accumulating drilling waste without establishing limits.

«Following measures taken by the prosecutors, by a court ruling dated 04.12.2024, the company was brought to administrative liability under Article 328 of the Code of Administrative Offences, with a fine imposed totalling 31 billion tenge. The judicial act has entered into legal force», the statement says.

At the same time, prosecutors identified a case of excessive emissions of pollutants into the environment from oil heating furnaces. For this violation, an additional fine in the amount of 1.2 billion tenge was imposed on the company.

Recall that in December 2024, the Karaganda central processing plant was fined 43 million tenge following complaints from local residents. In windy weather, residents of the private sector in the Tekhbaza area were choking on dust. Environmentalists identified at the enterprise «Lad-komir» an excess of carbon oxide emissions.
