The Ministry of Internal Affairs has presented a draft law "On the Prevention of Offences". The document, published on the website "Open NPA", states that Kazakh citizens will be rewarded for actively assisting in maintaining security.
It is reported that citizens who send video recordings of traffic violations will be entitled to a financial reward. This amount will depend on the size of the fine collected from the offender.
If the violation is recorded by several individuals, the reward will be given to the one who first provided the video recording.
At the same time, the draft provides for benefits from local authorities, such as free travel on public transport or discounted parking.
Incidentally, public figure and founder of FBRK Kirill Pavlov had proposed a similar initiative back in 2015.
It is worth recalling that in some cities of Kazakhstan, the "Sergek" system has been in operation for a long time - a flagship product of Sergek Group, which monitors traffic violations. Not long ago, the FBRK editorial team published a whole series of materials about Sergek Group projects. You can view them via the link.
