The head of the DUIC of SKO got off with a fine for bribery.

A verdict has been announced at the Petropavl Court regarding the head of the Department of the Criminal Executive System (DCES) for the North Kazakhstan Region, Adlet Mustafinov.

According to the press service of the Anti-Corruption Agency, he was found guilty of accepting a bribe from a businessman for assisting in concluding a government procurement contract for the supply of flour to institutions of the criminal executive system of the North Kazakhstan Region. It is reported that he received the sum of 1 million tenge through an intermediary.

Ultimately, the court found Adlet Mustafinov guilty and imposed a fine of 30 million tenge. He was also permanently banned from holding positions in the civil service and was dismissed from the internal affairs bodies on negative grounds.

The bribe-giver and the intermediary in the bribery were sentenced to fines of 20 million and 10 million tenge respectively.

Furthermore, due to a lack of proper departmental control and preventive work, the heads of the Committee of the Criminal Executive System (CCES) were brought to disciplinary responsibility.

The Chairman of the Committee, Colonel of Justice T. Dzhanibekov, was issued a reprimand; his deputy, Major General of Justice M. Ayubayev, and the heads of internal security, human resources, and logistics departments received a severe reprimand.

Recall that earlier it was reported that Adlet Mustafinov was detained in his office on suspicion of taking a bribe.
