The Stepnogorsk Prosecutor's Office has identified a case of illegal state procurement worth more than 84 million tenge.
According to the press service of the department, the Stepnogorsk Department of State Assets and Procurement intended to hold a competition for the manufacture and installation of heated bus stops worth 84.8 million tenge.
"The violations included the absence of specifying the locations for the work, an approved design sketch, as well as documentary justification for pricing (lack of cost estimate documentation)", the report states.
By order of the prosecutor's supervision, the competition was cancelled, and the budget funds were redirected towards the implementation of other socially significant projects.
For the violation committed, the official was brought to disciplinary responsibility.
Recall that in March, it was reported that in the North Kazakhstan Region, 11 state procurements worth 3.3 billion tenge were cancelled over three months. 17 officials were brought to account, including 6 for discrediting the civil service. Three of them were dismissed.
In April, it became known that Mazhilis deputy Bolatbek Nazhimetdenov identified overpayments totalling 569 million tenge in the state procurements of the Ministry of Agriculture. He demanded inspections of the department's state procurements.
In November, the Zhezkazgan Prosecutor's Office cancelled 6 competitions with a total value of over 2.6 billion tenge. Subsequently, administrative fines totalling 904,540 tenge were imposed on 15 officials.
