The prosecutor's office of Zhezkazgan has inspected government bodies for compliance with legislation in the sphere of public procurement.
"Contrary to the requirements of current legislation, local executive bodies established qualification requirements that limit and complicate the participation of potential suppliers in public procurement," reported the press service of the Ulytau region prosecutor's office.
Following a supervisory action by the prosecutor's office, 6 tenders with a total value of over 2.6 billion tenge were cancelled, and administrative fines totalling 904,540 tenge were imposed on 15 officials.
At the same time, for these violations, the deputy mayor of the city, the head of the housing and communal services department, and other officials were brought to administrative responsibility.
Recall that in March, it was reported that in the North Kazakhstan Region, 11 public procurements worth 3.3 billion tenge were cancelled over three months. 17 officials were held accountable, including 6 for discrediting the civil service. Of these, 3 were dismissed.
In April, it became known that Mazhilis deputy Bolatbek Nazhimetdenov identified overpayments totalling 569 million tenge in the public procurement of the Ministry of Agriculture. He demanded inspections be carried out regarding the ministry's public procurement.
