More than 600 million tenge has been ordered to be paid by a large company in the Atyrau region for the irrational use of subsoil.
According to the press service of the Atyrau Regional Prosecutor's Office, ANACO LLP allowed the loss of raw gas in the amount of 4,237,248 m3 between 2018 and 2023, which in turn is a gross violation of the requirements of paragraph 2 of Article 125 and paragraph 4 of Article 147 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Subsoil and Subsoil Use" (extraction must be carried out using methods and techniques that exclude hydrocarbon losses).
"Following the review of the supervisory report by the Western Interregional Department of the State Inspectorate for the Oil and Gas Complex, the damage caused was calculated at 673,130,278 tenge", the statement says.
It is reported that the company has already voluntarily paid 285 million tenge.
Recall that earlier in the Aktobe region, for illegal oil production, the deputy general director of a branch of the company "Saigak Kazakhstan B.V." was convicted.
